Designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini with Andrea Tartarelli, Milligram is Zetafonts homage to the Akzidenz Grotesk genre, revolving around an idiosincratic relationship with the tight metrics modernist designers loved to use in their layouts. Now, thanks to the same creative team, the typeface gets expanded along the width axis, with three new families designed to help you better solve your negative space issues.
Milligram Narrow, Milligram Condensed and Milligram Compressed all keep the original expressive palette but expand Milligram into a versatile super-family for complex branding and editorial projects. As an extra tool to save space while keeping enhanced readability, all three subfamilies are also available in a text version, that features wider proportions and metrics, open terminals and higher ascenders. Variable font versions are available for each subfamily as well as for the whole range, allowing user extra-fine control over space usage and text appearance.
Rooted in grotesque design principles, all Milligram weights feature curved stroke endings, tapered stems, and rounded dots on lowercase 'i's, paying homage to typographic heritage while ensuring versatility and practicality in every application.

European languages
The European languages are members of the same family. Their separate existence is a myth. For science, music, sport, etc, Europe uses the same vocabulary.
The languages only differ in their grammar, their pronunciation and their most common words. Everyone realizes why a new common language would be desirable: one could refuse to pay expensive translators. To achieve this, it would be necessary to have uniform grammar, pronunciation and more common words. If several languages coalesce, the grammar of the resulting language is more simple and regular than that of the individual languages. The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental. To an English person, it will seem like simplified English, as a skeptical Cambridge friend of mine told me what Occidental is. The European languages are members of the same family.
